St. Paul's

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

St. Paul’s reaches out to its community through an exciting variety of events, fundraisers, and service trips. Explore how we lend a helping hand by reading our community stories below And for the main text put the following which is a listing of the other community activities we do.

Food Assistance Ministries

We partner with several local organizations to help those in our community who struggle with food insecurity. The Fleetwood Food Pantry distributes food to those in need in the Fleetwood area on the first Thursday of the month from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. St. Paul’s volunteers several times a year.

Potato project

Potato Project

An empty field, an idea based on one man’s concern for the hungry and the Potato Project took shape. In 2009, with volunteer help from local congregations,7,733 pounds of potatoes were grown, harvested and then distributed to local food pantries and food banks reaching 1,405 families in need. Each year since then, St. Paul’s has volunteered in the fall to help harvest potatoes. After an afternoon of picking potatoes, French fries are enjoyed by all.
To volunteer or to find out more about these ministries, contact the office at 610-944-8388.

AA and Al-Anon

Alcoholics Anonymous is a worldwide organization that has been helping alcoholics recover for over 80 years. A twelve-step program is used as a means of recovery for those with a desire to stop drinking. Sit, listen, learn, or share, all are welcome.

AA and Al-Anon meet at St. Paul’s every Sunday night at 7 PM.

Women’s AA group meets every Tuesday night at 7 PM.

Relay for Life

Most of us have been touched by cancer directly or through family or friends so, at St. Paul’s, we’ve joined the “Fight for the Cure”. Join our team and be a part of the fight against cancer!

Each year our team plans a variety of fundraising events culminating in the “Relay” at Kutztown University in June.

Girl Scouts of America

Through a variety of experiences such as field trips, community service, sports and more, girls build relationships and develop skills, values and leadership capabilities that will benefit them throughout their lifetime. At the same time, the girls have fun, make friends and grow as individuals.

St. Paul’s is host to Daisies, Brownies, Junior Scouts, and Cadets. For troop information, contact our office at 610-944-8388.
