Our congregation’s beliefs are rooted in the Bible:
- The Triune God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – the Creator of all that is, the Savior of all that God has created, and the Sustainer of the faith of the church
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God who put on human flesh to meet us where we are in the world
- The Bible is the written Word of God, holding the truth of God’s relationship with humankind from creation to the present day and into the future
- It is through God’s gift of grace in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that our sins are forgiven and we live in an intimate and loving relationship with God
- All of us are servants of the world, equipped by God with unique gifts
- Through baptism, we become members of the Church, the body of Christ
- Through confirmation (typically during Grades 7 & 8), we affirm the promises made on our behalf at baptism, deepening our faith and our relationship with God. Once confirmed, we are compelled to take greater responsibility for living out our faith by serving the church and the world in Jesus’ name
- The Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed are statements of faith for this congregation
